WHen you go on digs in archeology though aren't you actually happy when you dig things up? I mean maybe you are happy to find things in the cat box too, I dunno, I have a dog, and I know I'm not happy or feeling like an archeoligist when I have to go out and clean up the back yard. *shrug*

See, finding things in the litter box usually means you don't find things in other parts of the house.... :D

Speaking of which, we need to get one of our cats spayed.

Yeah, my litter boxes are barricaded for just that reason. I could always tell he'd been excavating because he would have a fine gray covering over his nose.....

I need to run Goodlink for work emails so I'm stuck with smartphones. I had a Motorola Q which was the biggest POS I've ever used. Absolutely terrible - avoid it at all cost. Slow, terrible keypad, no ability to dial "letter" numbers (1 800 mattress or the like), and the thing would literally crash when answering calls. To the point where the battery would need to be removed and reinstalled.

I just switched to the Verizon SMT5800 and am thrilled with it. Great, thoughtfully designed piece of hardware. I highly recommend it.

As for carriers, I'm obviously with Verizon. No complains from me about their network.

Verizon! They've fucked up a few times and credited $5 to my account several times and refunded late fees when I've bitched enough about this or that. Also, I NEVER drop a call unless I'm driving into an area without service. And after that happens a couple times I know where they are and plan calls around them. Hell, even the back-woods town I live in threw up a tower in the last year or so, so we get signal everywhere now. It's kinda iffy at my inlaws, but there's a mountain between them and the tower it's expected.

I had Palm Treo's and Q's at my last job. I hate how the Q doesn't have a touch screen! Damn things were always locking up too. I got used to mine though after having a Treo for almost a year. Goodlink on all of them, and had to setup/maintain goodlink for a client too.

Only good thing about those phones was goodlink syncing their email, notes, and contacts back to Exchange so they weren't lost when the phone crashed. (and they did.... repeatedly) I got so good at reinstalling GL I could get it down to 10 minutes with strong signal! :D

Speaking of pigeons.... I don't miss those rats with wings. Too many of them at the last place I lived.
