I used a torch my first year in my house. It melted some holes in the huge ice dam on my roof pretty fast :)

Need to get a antenna for the cb. The whip you have is quick to remove when not in use, correct ?

My firestick only takes a second to disconnect. A whip is probably the same. Just 2 wrenches and it comes right off

Not a bad looker but for 120K you'd be silly to trade yours when it is working fine, plus think of all you've done to yours in the past year. In a month you could need all that stuff with the new ride.

exactly, it was nice to test drive I'll say. I couldn't tell the power difference from the 2.7 to 3.4 since in was a double cab and auto.

I explained that to a friend of mine before who knows nothing about cars. He had spent about $1500 on his car in the past year and was detemined to get rid of it figuring he had about $4k to spend.

He had done all new brakes, the tires had only 10k, put in a new exhaust, battery, fan, and a few other things. The drivetrain was fine just had about 140k but no leaks no smoke.

I reminded him then that he's addressed a lot of routine issues and knows he won't need to for a couple of years. The $4000 car could need all that work in 6 months or less for all he knows.

who would think a door lock from a 37 year old truck would work on a truck 37 years newer? not me TOYOTA know's what work's and keeps that shit simple. ripped mine off and got one at a yard of a 77 pick up shit fits the same god damn. they has a 76 that was torched and I mean this thing was ROASTED in a fire, friend that works there gets in pulls the choke and fires that 22R up driving around on tires that are all melted with a lawn chair as a seat.

I've been toying around with the idea of trading mine in lately... I think it'll have to wait until Kendra's car is paid off though. :anonymous:

I have never kept a SUV or truck for more then 2 years. I always seem to have problems with it or I just get bored and get a new one but with this truck, I wanna keep it forever. It's the best truck I have ever owned. I see myself keeping it till it dies and then some more. That's saying something since I always get a new wip so fast lol. The first gens out beat anything I have ever owned :)

I'm usually the same way, every 2-3 years. I've kept this one as long as I have because it's paid off and my money is tied up elsewhere. I wish I could say I've kept it this long because it's just impressed me soo much. It's been a good truck but hasn't been any more impressive than any other vehicle I've owned. There are actually a lot of things I miss about my old Chevy

    No

I'm not waiting til the kid is paid off, I'll be retired by then. And while I do have some faith in Toyota's longevity, I don't think it'll last quite that long

Maybe if you traded it in for a first gen it will last that long:D. Then you can pass the truck along to your kid and keep it in the family:D. Come on, I know you wanna convert. Everyone does

I don't. Just because you traded down 6 years doesn't mean we all want to throw money into a 10 year old truck....

Who said anything about throwing money Into a 10 year old truck lol. This thing will out last my 2010 anyday. I'll be still running it for years to come. If I wanna wheel I'll use my quad and beat it up while my truck stays new:D

I do as well..however, needing $5000 of engine work at 78K pampered miles is not one of them, nor does it instill confidence either..
