what to cover when cleaning engine?

    -Removed mudflaps -Blacked out tail lights/ third brake light -Blacked out emblems -Truxedo truxport tonneau cover -Tailgate theft mod -Eyelids (Toyotaman) -Center console organizer (Salex) -WeatherTech Digital fit floor liners -BHLM -Wet Okoles fronts and backs -Homertaco satoshi grill -Pioneer h/u -Disabled seat belt chime -LED gauge swap (Jerez) -BAMF Light bar w/ 2 hella 500ffs -Old Man Emu 90000 front shocks, 885x coilovers, nitro sports and AAL in the rear -285/70/17 wrangler duratracs -1.25 Bora spacers (4) -Super 40 series Flowmaster -Differential breather mod -Blacked out bedsides -Method NV Race wheels -EGR in channel window visors -Interior/license plate/tails LEDs (Jumpers LEDs)
    ok so ive looked around and got a general idea of good ways to clean the engine bay and most include sprayin it down with water but not too much is said on what to cover if anything at all (electrical etc) is there anything you def must or should cover when you wash down your engine bay with water? tha for the help in advanced

    I have washed it down numerous times without covering anything. I have never had a problem.

    ive never covered anything, but i dont have the hose on like full pressure and just attack my engine, i keep it on the mist spray and go over it and get everything pretty damp rather than soaked and just go from there

    Weather tech floor mats, fog light any time mod, derped front embelem, Pelfretbilt 3 hoop plate bumper, 10k warn xeon winch-s some leds, pelfreybilt roof rack, scs stealth series rims, wrangler authority tires, BAMF 96" bolt on sliders, BAMF dif skid, some dirt....
    i usually keep the engine running also n fog everything thing down, chill it out:cool:, then crank up the power n blast wat mud is left:D
