    I've had a hard time finding something in that size that's not a short fat tank. I'd like something similar to an O2 tank in size. I'm big on symmetry, and I know it'll bug me if I have to have two different size tanks. Or can you just get any tank filled with propane I wonder?

The guy ill be going with most trips is getting an ARB fridge as well so we decided one of us will run lower temps for a freezer and the other a fridge.

    Just got word that there is now officially a 30 gallon tank available for the 2nd gen taco IN america. The company is outback proven based in las vegas. Just spoke with Ben over there and got the full story.

    Essentially six different australian companies got together and split shipping rates to get their products to America. They're also sharing one employee (Ben) who does all the logistics and ordering for them.

    The tank is a reasonable 1300 which covers shipping from Australia. They've also got bumpers from a company called Kaymar which look to be pretty stout!
    Spacecase's are another product I'll be purchasing from them. Anyway, just wanted to let you know there's now a long range fuel tank for us!!:woot:

    Cool news on the long range tank (except that I have 1st gen).

    As for the bumpers....Kaymar has been around a long time and makes a good quality bumper. They are better suited for overland travel rather than rockcrawling however. They aren't always the best option in terms of high clearance and things like the side wings have had a tendency to get bent on some models when used for more difficult trails. But they are still a good product.

    This is the best way to get info on the tanks, they're not on the site yet (hardly anything is as they're pretty new to the game, only been open a year), but they ARE available.

    These are the space cases, nothing really special here other than they meet all of my needs perfectly. The size I'm getting is 41"W x 17"D x 35"L
    I've tediously measured my bed and i have 41/12" between the wheel wells, and a full depth of 18" so this thing will literally slide in perfextly and move very little. Couldn't be a better match to get all my gear contained and dry. A great alternative to drawers.

    Its a little bit pricey, but considering the functionality, long life, what appears to be better flow rates comparing it to other backcountry filters (Katadyn, MSR )its in the right price range then. Still if you can build your own filter, or have a source of rather clean water to begin with Pristine is by far less expensive, and easier to transport. Those backcountry filters are painfully slow and take a lot of pumping to get lots of water.
