Damn, that Cheby looks just like mine. I had a 2004 black Z71 but mine was a short bed. I miss that truck. It just rode sooo nice and I loved the power!

If you get the 5.7L, don't hold your breathe on 17 MPG, those things barely get that on their best days. The smaller V8 can get similar mileage to the Tacoma.

So the old dealership wants you back now?? I'd tell them to fuck off, that's just horrible management.

The CrewMax only comes with the big one. If i have to move into a tundra, I don't think I will be too worried about mileage.

Yikes. If I were to go full-sized (which I likely will at some point), I'm not even considering the Tundra. I think there are better options out there. The Tundras are nice and all but they are massive, get horrible mileage and aren't any more capable than it's competitors. Are you set on the Tundy or are you considering other full sized pickups?

She was a good truck. I replaced/repaired a ton of stuff. I put on 110k in 5 years.

That sucks. I had great luck with mine. The gauge cluster went out (Chevy eventually ended up reimbursing me for that) and otherwise I only did routine maintenance. I traded it for my Tacoma with a little over 80k miles and it still ran perfectly.

My dad has a 08 5.7 tundra and he loves it. I hate it. The speakers and radio sucks, the gas Millage is really bad. Sucks a tank so quickly and the rear bumpers keep rusting. And it too damm big. I gotta say it's one of the fastest truck for stock. You floor it and it goes quick. I love the power but lacking in so many other things .

I am not dead set on anything. I just think the Tundra is the best looking of the bunch and has more room and towing capabilities than the other half tons.

The tundra did tow the space shuttle so it does have some balls lol. I like the rock warrior edition too. Looks super nice.

I accepted a long time ago that I have shit luck when it comes to vehicles. I could write a novel about the idiotic things i've had to fix on my vehicles. The heavy Chevy was no slump in the repair department; All three universals went, Front dif pump had to be relocated, 2 parking lot hit and runs, a stupid ex that side swiped a pole removing the metal on the passenger side, + a ton more.

And my favorite.... The fan relay blew twice. Once on the highway almost catching fire, a cloud of smoke billowed out from under the dash while doing 75.

That and I'm not convinced that really happened... I have a hard time believing that the carrier itself wasn't motorized or the truck wasn't regeared.

Yay! Toyota covered the oil pan seal leak under warranty. Dropped it off at 6PM yesterday and they were done by 7:30 this morning. That was quick work.

Not to sound stupid (but sure I will), what is the advantage of the breather mod?
