Haven't been on much. Been pretty busy the last week and the next few weeks coming up. Looks like things with North Korea are getting pretty intense. A lot of military mobility going on.

Hey guys I been searching the forums for the meaning of lsd and I still don't understand it. I looked under the axle and I know I have it on my 08 sport but how do I know when its actually working?

LSD- Limited Slip Differential. I believe its working only when it needs to be, If im correct it basically doesn't allow tire spin. So when your tire starts to slip it engages and Limits the slip.

Let the other more knowledgeable members chime in before taking my word but im pretty sure thats the general answer.

Im having a real hard time deciding which way i want to go with my truck... i mean... I like going fast but i like having a mean lifted truck with armor bumpers and sliders... Would it be stupid to do Twin turbos and then armor front and rear and sliders and then like 35s?!

Exactly what ToyComa92 says to explain it's function. As far as knowing it is working... you only know it is working because you will slip less and grip the road more. A mechanical LSD which should be in your 08 does not have any dash sensors to indicate it's function. It just works.

Well it's up to the owner more then anything. Twin turbos will do you very little off road if anything at all. Going fast on the street IMO is really meant for cars, not trucks. But it's your truck so do what you want with it.

You stay safe Mikey! You are now part of the front line should anything this little bitchy, bully does turn into reality. Someone needs to bitch slap him back into the 4th grade so he can grow up.

Yeah, sounds like you want two very different vehicles in one. Stupid? Not at all. Effective for what you want? Maybe, but you'd be far better off having two different vehicles with each one purpose built.

You put twin turbos in with 35's and armor and you'll be just as fast as...well, probably a stock taco. Which aint all that quick.

Hey guys, long time no see. I been MIA for quite a bit. I was able to work out a deal to keep my tacoma when i thought i was going to have to sell it, but havent been able to do anything to it but oil changes. Haven't been able to do any wheeling since i went with you guys last winter due to bald tires and worry about breaking anything. Hope to be more active and get out a lot this summer. Things are starting to get better though and some investment is paying off. My fiance and I are trying to close on a house in Lakewood with a 4 car detached shop so I hope I can host a mod day in the future once I fill it with tools.
