Anyway, compressor really doesn't get warm unless you're airing up, and even then it has to radiate through the air. I severely doubt it'd get hot enough to give your fuse block any trouble. Maybe airing up with the hood down in the sunlight in the middle of July. Otherwise I think you'll be fine.

Edit: This is assuming they are not in direct contact. If that's that case, I'd take my chances over there above the valvetrain.

Touch them both sometime after equal length duty cycles and let me know for sure

i just happen to catch that part when i re read. didnt take anything being a smartass then.

also, who says u have to be working on your own vehicle? make any trail repairs alot faster with air tools if anyone broke down. doesnt have to necisarily be you. and if it was something small like changing a tire? iwouldnt give a shit. i'd do it with it running

Maybe I'm not being clear. I'm fine with the option. I just don't think the advantage are worth the time spent. But again, others may feel differently.

    1) lol

    2) Yeah, but I wouldn't want to run my ARB too long without the vehicle on either. Draws a pretty good amperage.

In my line of work we are on contracts with deadlines, and if we don't meet them we could be fucked. I worked 58 hours in 4 days a couple of weeks ago to fix a customer's mistake, and keep them happy and everything on schedule.

That said, my transfer case finally shipped today.

I fixed my horn this evening, or I think I did. I haven't tested it because the battery is disconnected and I don't want to get the dogs started. But it should finally work again.

There is a pin on a spring in the column, and a contact plate on the back of the steering wheel. The contact has worn down and no longer touched the pin, so I needed to shim the contact.

Here is the contact on the back of the wheel.

And here is the pin in the column

After some looking around I found this extra star washer I had left over from the front axle rebuild. I ground off the index nub with the dremel and it fit perfectly.

    I reattached the contact.

Hawhatup Yoda! Showing what the inside of the horn button looks like.

Crappy pic but the pin is touching the contact again!

Do you know anyone or have heard anyone say good things about the TG Rock Ripper headers? Mine needs to be replaced. It sounds like a coin in a tin can getting rolled down a mountain every time I hit the gas. Mostly because of the heat shield but the kit contains replacement shields too so it looks like a win/win.

Bout to work on some wire harnessing. My backup light switch showed up today so I am going to try and have all the wiring done by Sunday, and finish a few other things.

I spoke with Oliver's driveshafts today and if all goes well I will have two shafts in this bitch by the 19th.
