I think exhaust on 6 cyl. is a waste and sounds like a turd is coming out the tail pipe.

It's a matter of personal preference, but all the aftermarket exhausts I have heard on V6 Tacos sound like garbage. It might be loud, but it still sounds like crap. The Taco needs the 5.7l.

What are you 12? And did you even read the whole thread. Everyone but you and that other guy seems to love their exhaust. Wait till you get your truck and then try it out. Just put a muffler on it and an intake. It really does sound damn good. Good luck.

Why the age reference? There is a section on the sidebar for age, FYI.

There is no doubt the Tacoma owners with aftermarket exhausts like them, but that's why they like them, because they are theirs.

If you like the sound, great! Like I said originally, it is all personal preference. I will personally not install an aftermarket exhaust for sound purposes on my Tacoma when I get one. Coming from vehicles with good sounding exhausts, I could never listen to the 4.0 blaring notes.

I have always had V8 and V10 motors even one V12. I has 2 6 cyl trucks too with exhaust with the last being a Ridgeline. I had a Borla exhaust with an Injen intake. After I got rid of the Ridgeline and went back to full size with exhaust I told myself never to get an exhaust on a 6 cyl again. That is just my preference and think it sounds terrible. If you and everyone likes yours then wonderful.

Think you fellas might be putting the wrong exhausts on there.

I can only speak to the Borla and the TRD for tacos, as that's all I've heard in person, but the Borla does sound ricey to me with a buzz...the TRD is nice and deep, barely noticable unless revved above 4000, at which point it remains deep and smooth.

If you don't like aftermarket exhaust on 6cyls, that's fine - to each his own - but it does beg the question of why you're bothering to participate in this thread other than to troll people?

We are participating in this thread because that is what you do. You give negative or positive opinions. That is what forums are all about and so is this country. Well it use to be anyway. everyone quit being so dang sensitive. This thread is asking if you would and if so what kind of exhaust and it even ask if you wouldn't. What do you mean why do you even bother to participate when the question was asked. That is completely asonine. No I am not a troll. Gee wiz.
On another note maybe I will try the TRD because I have had over 20 cars in the past 8 years and most have been modified. Even my Porsche.

Lol, did you really just try to equate my point with censorship of free speech? Quit being melodramatic.

In regards to your actual response, fair enough. If that's what you want to do with your spare time, far be it for me to tell you you're wrong.

    Also, "asinine".

Your original reply was nice but your last sentence was Asinine. i am neither wrong or right. It is my opinion. Yes when someone is asked what their opiniuon is then someone tries belittle and basically telling you to be quiet it is Freedom of speech. I just find it ironic that's all.

    Asinine:

Main Entry: as·i·nine [IMG] Pronunciation: \ˈa-sə-ˌnīn\ Function: adjective Etymology: Latin asininus, from asinus ass Date: 15th century 1 : extremely or utterly foolish <an asinine excuse> 2 : of, relating to, or resembling an ass

I don't know where you got belittling from. You might have missed it, but I asked you a question in that post, and you replied. I wasn't telling what to do or not do with your internet time. You replied. That's typically how the question/answer format works.

Now that...that right there might've been just a leetle belittling. But I couldn't help myself. Sorry.

No, I asked why anyone who wasn't a troll would make it a point to state in a "favorite exhaust thread" that they hate all options.

According to you, it's because you're a strict believer in the United States Constitution.

And I say, again, fair enough.
