I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Well it would of been just fine if i didnt care about ride hight. Building a low truck you run into lots of little things that get in the way the frame is just the frist of a lot Im sure. I still have to modify the alt tenisioner pulley to get another 1.5" of up travel at the pan. Thats next once i get this frame replaced. I could of just notched the frame 2" and everything would of cleared but i decided to just cut it out and build a new one.

When you cut and re-weld the new piece on to the frame like that, does it weaken it around the weld point? Do you have to reinforce that part or anything?

It will be fine i'll have the shock buckets wrapping there connecting the 2 parts and dont you know they whole frame section is built like that? The frame will be super solid once everything is welded in so there is no reason to plate that cut.

Just the steering box side the body mount and the shock buckets connects the sections together.

I really know nothing :spy: I figured after cutting and welding something that had already been welded you were just weakening the metal. I was curious if you were going to plate a bunch of the frame to beef the shit out of it.

I didnt cut the welds i just cut the tube and welded on a new section. And it will have supports just not a plate just welded to it. You will see just give it time.
