    Bolt on. Holes need to be drilled in the side of the bed rail on first gens. In most cases 4 bolts are more than adequate. Hardware is provided with the rack.

    I had Adam fab me some cross bars back in December and they're working out amazingly. I highly recommend him for anything. Nice guy and the fabrication is top notch. I would've went went with a whole bed rack but I already had all my other components. I kinda regret it. Anyway, here is a picture of his fabricated rails and my bed rack

    This is what I would use my truck for (moving stuff, and storage for trips). Would I need specific boxes to mount on top of the rack?

    Everything looks great, but I worry that i need to already know what "mounts" I will want before you build it. I hope that made sense :eek:

    No specific boxes are needed. Those boxes I use just use the tie down tracks.
