I am close to the family of a young man, 4 years old, by the name of Gabe Lyall. He was very recently diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma (tumors around his heart, liver, and lungs) and is currently undergoing treatment. I ask that all of you who believe in God please pray for this kid and his family. If you worship any other higher power, please do what you do to send some support his way. He loves superheroes and is such a charmer. I will have a link to the Facebook page dedicated to him. If you want to visit it, post a message, or just follow his status you can do that on there. Thanks guys

Thank you everyone for your words, Gabe is hanging in there like a superhero! Chemo is already doing some work, his tumors have shrunk. Doctors remain optimistic of removing the tumors once they are small enough. He's been very cranky this past week, as can be expected.

For anyone who follows Christian music, Jason Crabb shared a picture of Gabe and asked his prayer warriors to come together and pray for Gabe and his family! Within a few hours there was over 1,000 shares and even more likes/comments. Jason somehow got the number to Gabe's parents and personally called them with some kind words and scripture. It has blown my mind to see strangers reach out to this family. I am not too proud to say it has brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions.

Thank you for the link to some valuable information Joe. As you guys may read in that link, Gabe has stage IV cancer and the survival rate is low for this type. He has an uphill battle for sure. The fact that his tumors are responding to chemo is great news, however.

I just researched that a little bit, there does seem to be some testimonies to it being linked to helping. Thanks for the heads up. Anything is worth a shot at this point!

x1000 on this! i can handle and deal with seeing some things go on in this world. but seeing a child suffer when he/she isn't even old enough to know right from wrong, is just heartbreaking in my book.

Gabe had a special visitor today, the WVU Mountaineer himself. Gabe was a little shy from all the excitement of seeing his favorite team's mascot! But was great to see him in good spirits today! You know you live in WV when guns aren't allowed in the hospital, but the Mountaineer's musket is! lol
