Wow Ben that looks awesome :bananadance: , maybe something made out of just metal rod like a cage style for strength. Also you can make it on a frame and have it be bolt in ?

Yeah, I'm brainstorming now what to do about it. The idea I like best so far is some 1/4" rod bent into a rectangle-ish shape but missing one of the long sides and then putting one between each light. Sticking out just enough to take whatever small bump may occur up there. My wife mentioned using some "heavy duty cabinet door pull handle thingies" which may be the easiest route if they're strong enough. I dunno.

I'm going to head to a walmart or do some mall crawlin and just pull up in front of vehicles and see where their front end is in relation to my lights. If most vehicles won't even touch em, then I'll just not worry about it. I pull through or back in a lot of the places that I go as well.

EDIT: Kinda like how this light bar and some other light bars/bumpers have the protruding sections between each light to help take the force of lighter impacts before the light would get hit.

Internals are the same for both the 1st and 2nd gen SC. The 2nd gen is just packaged better and now the parts to rebuild the 1st gen aren't available from TRD anymore. You can still get them elsewhere though. Other than that, they are exactly the same

Yep stock 4.10's with 315's. Gears would help but its still plenty quick with the SC. I doubt i will regear for a long time if ever.

Decided to keep the tundra and just lift it...sometime. May get some stereo stuff done first...been browsing Tacomas...TRD OR and Baja versions...doesn't make sense to have a $100+ payment more a month, + higher interest (tundra is 0%) and start a new loan...I have 4 years left on this one...

Me too, I hate that I won't get out there until the evening of the 31st at the earliest, but I will still be around for a few trail runs with the TW peeps and then stay for a couple more with anyone who sticks around after the meet.

I wouldn't really be worried about that. There is plenty of space to camp out there.
