There are numerous problems with cheap ones or ones that you create yourself. It's worth spending a little money and getting a trust created by an expert in NFA rules / laws as well as one that also understands specific laws / rules for the state the trust will be created in and / or operate in. One of the key things (with any trust) is the legal language around the trustee, co-trustees, and settlors. In addition, since most trusts dedicated for NFA purposes are firearms oriented, it's important that specific mentioning of NFA issues be addressed. My NFA trust provides provisions and flexibility for any activities under the NFA...including manufacturing...granted the trust would have to file the proper forms and be approved...but, the trust is already setup and contains provisions to do so. Don't go cheap on a trust...you don't want to find yourself in legal trouble at the state or federal level because of an improperly formed and / or improperly worded trust.

Whats the big difference between a free float rail and a non free float. Pros and cons?

 

Free floats Help accuracy by not allowing pressure on the handguard to slightly move the barrel and change the point of impact

 

this, if you shoot off a bipod then i'd recommend a FF hand guard.

 

Thank you for that info. So this is the major difference? Hmmm im looking to get a rail and have an opportunity to get a troy 7 inch rail but its a non free float. Most of my shooting is off hand but I do want whats the best option.

 

not enough to make a big difference. The military M4's use non free float if that helps you decide.

 

So pretty much if im trying for competition I would want a free float?
