    we're supposed to get either 10cm of snow or freezing rain today.
    hopefully the highway condition improves by tomorrow morning, have to drive 60km to school tomorrow.

    We had ones of those who I was just griping about a few days ago. It's a tough sitch, but basically, need to stay focused on the effect on work, not on personal issues. First, flat out confront (politely) Mr. Noisy. Who even cares if you offend him at this point, because he has been offending you and others for ages. But as a coworker, I would always rather be directly told by someone else that I am creating a troublesome situation than have them go behind my back to a superior. Tell him that his talking out loud makes it difficult to concentrate and is affecting your ability to concentrate and be productive, and if he doesn't knock it off right away, you r next stop is the boss. See how that goes. If it doesn't change, tell the boss the same, focusing on productivity and quality. Then if your boss is a weak pansy and won't do his job to make Mr. Noisy STFU, request that they move you to the office.

    If you are a star employee, and I imagine you are, expect for the drinking problem, this would seem to get your boss's attention. Especially if you go tell him one a week persistently until something changes. Be a polite nuisance so the boss is motivated just to make you stop bugging him (the boss).

    Or just beat him over the head with a keyboard and film it for us.

    Mile time down to 8 1/2 minutes. Now I just need to work on mile and a half time. Need it before 11 minutes. 25 days until my pt test. Down to 34" waist as well. Almost time for a new pair of jeans... Again.
