I really detest Checkered Flag, bought my truck from them. Had my truck serviced there once, once. Never again. I always go to Priority now.

Bought my first Toyota from them MANY years ago (still feeder roads on the Blvd.!). It was a miserable experience from the git go. IAs a young squid, they rolled me pretty good. I'm sure it's all different folks there now but I really don't hear too much. I've since bought 5 Toyotas from Charles Barker. No pressure, no haggling as we go in say "we'll pay this much out the door" and do!), and I have the same service guy (Fred) for 5 years now and get incredible pricing!!!

I don't hear too much bad about Priority either except their sales force rotates almost as much as Checkered.... but that doesn't matter much.

I been in Churchland working 2 x's this week right across the street from the High School. Was gonna swing by Chris's house to try and get some 1st gen parts for my 2nd gen! I wanna have those tail lights just like Ben ! Problem is I always loose my sense of direction out there! Bruin, Bruce, Taylor.... Arrrrghhhh! :notsure:

I just bought the stuff to switch from a roof mounted magnetic whip to a firestik. I hated having the antenna being knocked over every time I went through a tight trail. If you do end up going with the whip, though, and want a magnetic one I'll cut you a deal on mine.

Agreed -- avoid checkered flag at all costs. They really tried to screw me on my trade in and on the price of a truck when I was looking. Tried to play me like I was a moron. Offered me $25k for a year old $43k car. Carmax gave me more with no haggling. Then they wouldn't honor the price they gave me on the truck because they were trying to play me with the numbers game.

Priority Toyota -- Truck sales manager's name is TOM. Great guy to deal with! Best price I could find in the hampton roads.

Although I will say -- don't go to Priority for an inspection. I won't again, even if it is free for life. Wouldn't pass me because of my fog light mod. Cant imagine what the inspector would say about my retrofit and halo's.

Yeah this. I had a oil leak from valve covers for like 2-3 years right above the alternator and it finally took out the alternator in emporia va on my way back from Raleigh

Our alternators are that bad? just a few drops of oil and they die? How do people submerge them and keep running.
