So, I've just had to replace my lower ball joints for the second time, with one of them only being about a year or less old and the other one closer to two years maybe. Because of this I inspected my upper ball joints, both about the same age or less, and found the newest one already has a ripped boot  I don't rag my truck, it sees mostly street miles these days driving to and from school/work so the ball joints aren't being abused. I do have a OME lift with the 882(i think) and matching struts running 285/70/17. The angle that the uppers are sitting at seem pretty extreme. Would getting some after market UCA like the Light Racing or Total Chaos fix my problem of replacing ball joints, at least the uppers?

Would the LR UCA have a stronger ball joint than stock? And would the angle of the ball joint be corrected? I don't ride trails with my truck but it sees a lot of abuse from dirtroads and I'm tired of replacing the ball joints. I'm not sure if I could justify the TC or Camburg UCA. I just want something that will stand up to abuse better, and will help with my alignment issues.

The LR UCA's would be a perfect fit for your situation. I dont think the extra cost for uniball uca's would benefit you.

Yes, they will be stronger than OEM, and yes they will correct the angle of the BJ because they are adjustable for caster/camber. Just make sure when you go get your alignment done be explicit in telling them the BJ in the UCA is adjustable
