So switchbacks or LEDs? Can someone explain the diffrence and which is better

 

Switch backs are LEDs. Difference is switchbacks typically have both amber and white LEDs and require special wiring to work correctly. They are white while driving and turn amber when signalling to keep it legal. A regular led bulb will probably be white only or amber only.

 

A shop by my house has leds that are amber and white, no resistors needed, he says they plug in and thats it and they don't burn out quick

ya cuz you need a resistor and youre going to need a relay probably too..i doubt its just plug and play

 

the led has both white and amber he showed me the bulb but thats the first time i've heard of that, no resistors

 

the resistors are there for that you dont get a "hyper" flash like when the ricers have led turn signals no rapid flash...i would like to see these lights

The plug and play bulbs are for systems without DRLs I think. We have DRLs which is what makes it so complicated.

 

The bulbs I have are the same regardless of dtrl or not having it stocj

 

A car that uses their parking lights as turn signals have dual filament bulbs and are already wired to work correctly. Our trucks don't have dual filament or dual intensity lights so they have only 2 wires instead of 3 which is why a 3rd wire and resistors and stuff are required.
