whats the coldest temp you have started your taco in

I hate weather like this.

I needed the AC on the way home from work, but I won't smoke my pipe with the window all the way up, so the AC is kinda' wasted... but I'll do it anyways.

Now when it's 95+ outside? Nope... window stays up and the pipe stays in the pouch.

Haven't started the taco in -40 but lived a few years where it hits -40 C. Which. Coincidentally is where Celsius and Farenheit merge so it equals -40 F

You needed a battery warmer blanket and a block heater. Otherwise you are trying to turnover the engine in molasses with a dead battery

The shocks are frozen and the foam in your seats turn to a brick.

But it will run, and eventually soften up

Oh, and gasoline antifreeze at every fillup. Any moisture and your lines are frozen.

nice to see that the taco no start is still at zero ive been in -50*f weather, that is friggen cold then, -20*f is like -30*c i believe, and thats still damn cold, battery had enuff ass to start my truck, but sure in hell took forever to get anything above freezing out of the heater vents, lol

 

-50F is -45C , that's damn cold

 

yes it was damn cold, i was on a snowmobile trip, and like an idiot, couldnt get the cover off my snowmobile, took my right glove off, and put my bare hand on the suspension..... not a good sight.... had no feeling in my right thumb for about 4 or 5 months......

 

I grew up in Anchorage Alaska, I wish I could know how cold it was when starting up a truck.

 

-40 plus. The temp gauge said -40 but we also had a lot of wind so with the wind chill, I know it was a lot colder.

Not anymore. Ethanol in gas is a very good antifreeze. The only difference is that ethanol is made from corn and Isopropyl is made chemically. Both are simply alcohol.

Do the math: 20 gallons of gas has 2 gallons of ethanol, which is much more that a little bottle of gas line antifreeze
