Did a couple of little things to the Beast that needed to be done.

One was the rear diff breather. I had put one of those little crank case breathers on it and got tired of it. Water can get in and I just didn't like it so Dan found one for me from an 05 Tacoma and I just swapped it in.
    newdiffbreather1Copy_zpsebb47510_29e445c5decb32e1cf40075a5e41580aa0d797dc.jpg

Then, when I changed the front suspension a couple of years ago I had to change back to the stock configuration and when I did it would just bolt on so I had to use coupler to get it to go to the intake. Problem is the coupler doesn't really work well and it would keep popping off.

Enter Dan again. He sold his 06 Tacoma and bought an 07 4Runner with the 4.0 V6 in it. I had given him my AFE air intake for his Tacoma and he swapped it onto his 4Runner. Cool thing about that is the intake hose is very flexible and was exactly what I needed to make mine work again.

Old rigid set up on the right and the flexible setup from Dans 4Runner on the left.

Bolted it right up and it works like a charm.

Next is going to be a roll cage.

Soooo.. took the Beast in to get it smogged. Passed of course.

The guy doing the test didn't think it would hold on the rollers but once he got it on there he had fun with it. Here's a short video.

Trucks doing good. Nothing really new at this point from what I've posted above. Will be taken it out this weekend to let the wife and kids play with it. that should be fun to watch :p

Next project is going to be a roll cage for it and then I've got a laundry list of crap for it after that.

A dana 60 front on the 2nd gens is almost a must. I would try to get a high pinion to keep the drive shaft out of harms way. 60 outers with a 9 inch is fine as long as it's a high 9. ( high pinion ). I prefer the after market 60's, Currie Rock Jock or the Dyna Trac pro rock 60.
