also, Danny what's that going to run you? i almost had mine wrapped in satin black once but it wasn't too popular back then. now if i make it that color it'll be with plastidip.

 

I have been told 3k if you have someone to do it. Cheapest I could fine the 1080 wrap, for a roll of 5x55 was 509. I've watched a couple of videos on it and it looks doable. I have a heat gun and a friend that would help.

You can buy vinyl way cheaper, but they say you get what you pay for on vinyl and you don't want to get something cheap. Everyone seems to love the 1080 and it has air release channels to get rid of air bubbles, so it makes it easier to work with.

aren't you worried about getting a scratch in it and your original paint showing through? i mean if you don't wheel that's another story

 

You can get a brand new paint job for $1500. What's the point in wrapping it!? Unless you do it urself like u said. I agree that it can be pretty sick looking but let's say that dude with the green wrap paid $3000 for it. Why would you not pay $1500 for a flat green paint job instead!?

Not sure you can get a quality paint job for that... You could probably find someone to do it for that, but it's probably not going to be awesome.

 

From what I have read, this stuff is pretty thick. As long as you get a good quality vinyl. Not sure how hard it has to be scratched to show up. You buff scratches out just like paint. Different products, but you can get them out. Then, the way I see it, if you get one bad enough you can't take out, you can always just pull it off a rewrap just that panel.

 

Ok well maybe I should mention that my buddy paints cars for a living and would paint my truck for $1500, professionally at a body shop. But, let's just say you pay 3k for a paint job .... What makes a wrap better!? I don't give a fuck the price, just tell me why you would wrap ur truck over getting a paint job!? You can literally paint ur truck any color u could imagine, besides maybe invisible, haha, so I'm just wondering what makes a wrap the way to go.

 

If you do it yourself... Cheap, can reverse it if you don't like it, replace panels if something happens, protects paint/body. All the color options are nice as well. 500 and my time sounds pretty good to me.
