I just installed mine, they're definitely way brighter than stock. I'll know for sure later tonight.

 

Did some much needed detailing and washing. Its so much nicer to drive a clean truck, though I have gotten a few comments that it looks better dirty Actually did this over the past few days, but finished this morning. Gotta have it lookin sexy for prom today.

Probably upped my mpg's quite a bit by washing it. Picture doesn't do it justice...it was bad. took my just as long to clean the washbay at work as it did to actually wash the truck.

And got some washers to shore up my clevis with. Dunno why toyota made their mounts so gay and skinny.

 

Is that factory mount really a good recovery point? I mean, I've used it multiple times to pull vehicles out of snow, but I've always been worried it would shear those bolts. If this is a legit way of doing it, I'll try the same thing with washers and a shackle. It will give me a better place to attach my snatch strap now.

 

I honestly dont have a whole lot of faith in these points but there's really nowhere else to put them unless you have bumper. But the washers will help keep the shackle straight so as not to bend the loop if you jerk on it too hard.

 

I've been dragged out/off of things by that hook in front... I've even pulled my friend's K5 out of a gnarly spot by it.

Never seem to have an issue

 

Turned my turn signals into Aux lighting. Works better than i thought it would. Used a 65 watt bulb and clear lenses. Also did the blinker relocate. Thinking I should do a write up.

I don't know....I didn't use the turn signal wiring.

 

Got my Tundra struts modified to fit the Taco. Rented a spring compressor from O'Reilly. Didn't even use a power tool to make the swap. Just some wrenches and brute force. If the rain holds off, I'll install them today.

 

Works for me, i want to get a trailgear bumper soon anyway so im not gonna worry too much...when i get stuck i usually have to be pulled out backwards anyway.

 

Oh, ok. I was gonna say....that's cool! I wonder how the housings will like the extra heat from that bulb. Sounds very interesting though.

 

I'm curious to see the actual light output. Aren't the signal assemblies textured on the inside causing the light to be filtered?

They are so much better, man! I was backing into the garage last night, and I could see perfectly fine without having to roll down my window! Such an improvement!
