Oh, on a side note that test says 0-60, empty, is 6.51s. Seems like I read other results saying the 4.0 Tacoma did 0-60 in 7.1ish. So do the math....

Yeah I checked my magic 8 ball and it says it didn't look promising, but if you got him off road it would be to your advantage. :D

to be honest i raced a 5.7 tundra i have a prerrunner automic with intake headers and exhaust. i did the whole brake and gas till the light turned green, the tundra never pulled on me, by the time i hit 70 ( i was in a 60mph zone figured 10 more mph couldnt hurt) he was like 3 ft in front of me i pulled up to the next light the guy in the truck was suprised we had a quick talk then drove away, the funnt thing was an acura rsx type s was trying to race me and the tundra poor little guy got smoked.

Tell him you've got a Dodge SRT-10 in the garage and you're feeling lucky. See how he responds...

Hell - I'd race him in our corvette. :D

Yeeah but those are cars.... Tacoma's have survived Robozilla, the Lock Ness monster, WoW dragons and heck even having planets blown up around them without a scratch. Just be sure you have the Impulse Red Pearl paint.

    You've got that all wrong....

Everyone knows - SPEEDWAY BLUE is the only color worthy of racing. It's named after it. :D

You misunderstood me Janster. The red isn't for the race it's to make it impervious to being crushed. Impulse Red Pearl is the color of the truck in all those commercials and I'm pretty sure that it's an important part of the indestructability of the truck. :p

ahahhaa that video was enjoyable, i hate ricers and there show off cars.

you swear like id put people at risk for my amusement of racing, if i had to do an illegal race then id pick a part of town with a large road, no pedistrians, no schools and houses and bussiness near by (which i kno a few spots). or even better the speed track only a few miles from my home.

plus tacomas survived top gear's brutailty test i dont think a few tons of pressure could do crap to my car!

Street racing sucks, people get killed, and I don't like it. BUT, I always get an odd feeling in the pit of my stomach when I see government taking things away from people. I know, I know, they probably deserve it, what if they hit my family, blah blah blah, I get it but I still get a strange feeling over the word "confiscate".

i raced my taco double cab vs a tundra double cab up a hill cuz he caught my admiring his truck well lets just say i was doing 80 and he was pulling away even though he took off and then i gunned it after i realized what was happening and yea maby flat ground with an even start would be more fair but the tunda destroys
