I am thinking about getting a set of sliders here in the next couple months. Wondering if you guys had any suggestions of fab shops in the area. Looking to keep the cost down as well (go figure).

Today i finally got to have that proud moment when my sliders saved me from a door ding, at safeway i was parked next to a planter on my left and quite a bit of room on my right side, writing out my shopping list a lady whips in with her mustang. She is over the line, opens the door, right into my kick out. I think i'm too nice because i felt bad lol

Thats awesome! That'll teach her a lesson!
I was browsing some threads on here and people say sliders are one of the first things you should get when it comes to armor. What do you guys think?

I can't decide if I want to go with a kick out or not. Pros and cons?

I like my kick-outs because they are a smooth transition, they also are handy for washing the truck

Cons- They do make it annoying for passengers to get in and out of the back seat

I went sliders first. Metaltech kick outs. Like patrick said it makes it easier when washing the truck.

Not to mention the fact that they will save your bedsides and can act as a good pivot point off roading in trees large rocks etc

Yep the sliders and kick outs helped me out numerous times on the rug road trip alone. Well so did the skids

I did both skids and sliders the same time, and good thing i did because the wife hit both of them the same time on a wheeling trip.
