I need help from the Tacoma World Junkies like myself!! I found a hole around the size of a quarter in my frame. I have read some mixed post on here about recalls that ended in 2010 and some that extends to 15 years of the vehicle in service date, I am the original owner and bought this truck in 2003. I called Toyota today (Saturday) but cant get through to anyone. Anyone out there know of the situation? Thank you

    1)
    2)
    1) I had my '02 re-framed in '09 with NO TROUBLES BUT I also went in with open mind and SHUT mouth..;).....Let your dealer do the talking and you will get a much better experience....

    2) They DO NOT BUY BACK 2000-2004 ..it will be re-framed and again perfect time to make your service rep a friend....if anything else needs to be done to your truck;this is the time to do it; dealer gets paid "full boat" for the frame swap so you can negotiate GREAT prices for items not included ; ie; I paid for parts at reduced prices and NO LABOR cost...Shocks/struts and upgraded these at GREAT $$$..

    Good luck OP....

IF you do not get the results you want...jump onto some of the threads here at TW and copy a few of the important TOYOTA phone #'s down....Once you read through these you will see a quiet demeanor gets results much quicker than being a "lil bit@h " .....

I never saw that "Spot" until they pulled the bed off; up above rear spring hanger...

You look in my gallery and you will see the NEW stickers after the fact though...

I forgot to mention that my dealer also did the "Ball Joint" recall at the same time so my '02 became BRAND NEW in June '09...

My Service writer has become a good friend and when the spare tire recall came out I was one of the 1st in NH to have this completed...:)

With the incentives and coupons we recieve they now service my wifes Lexus and state inspect both vehicles once a year ( this "eyes on" helps with my 15 year frame warranty" ):D.

Last item, we also drove around in a new Prius while my Taco got rebuilt;all on their dime...

Again , Good Luck and keep us updated...

I am possibly going to purchase a 2002 and want to ask if the frame warranty would transfer with the truck to my ownership?
