Haha that vid was slightly funny....

Yea, bears and cats are a different story. There were two (I think two) nice cats taken out of sinks canyon area this fall! Sometimes I get that eerie ears pinned back feeling like a cat is ready to pounce on me when it gets too quite on the trail... If anyone you know is scurrd of bears just show them this picture LOL.

Dude I literally have no free time. This summer I'll be crazy busy with the wedding, reception(s), and working 60+ hrs/week in Cheyenne. I would love to though.

I'll be working at an Accounting (CPA) firm for an internship doing Auditing and Taxes. Keeping my fingers crossed it turns into a full-time job offer when I graduate.

Thanks guys. It would be great, but we'll see how the internship goes. I'll be driving the (soon to be) wife's car every day (40+ mpg) and she'll drive my truck every day. I think she's secretly excited...

Rainy all weekend for me, pretty much didn't get any good shots off, either of the rig or the weather. I played around in the Beartooths for two evenings, like up by St. Joe's highway and near the NWC Field Station...

Carter Mountain is awesome, especially from the Meeteese side. I've been up there in the 4Runner, like along Pickett's Creek, and hunting, it's gorgeous.

Yup, went almost to the bottom of the switchbacks... There was a big black sand pile on the road, near the bottom, so I didn't dare traverse it, since I was alone, and no way to get out, if I got stuck. But I have pictures of the switchbacks (not very good either :() but it's gonna be one sketchy ride for those who do it!

I was in the area anyway, so Morrison was on my way home, so I drove in and out, it's like an hour just from the edge of the pavement to the bottom of the switchbacks, and ROUGH. Man, oh man, that was rough, the roughest stuff I've taken my rig on. I have some awesome clearance though and I love my truck even more...

Will post up pictures and stuff more in the Epic trip thread soon when I get the pictures on Flickr.

Shit dude..that stuff is a pebble ride compared to lander haha

    And yes! Steep switchbacks.

Also the top will be a bit more rough then that too.

I was waiting for you, Monte, to see what you would say the ride in was like lol. Have you driven that in Frankenstein?

That is the roughest I've driven my truck on, I kept waiting for a rock to bash in my skids, but I don't think I ever really hit bottom. I'm amazed, I thought I would hit so much, and 2/3 of the way in, I was thinking I should get out, in case something happened, because I was all alone in this big area...

By the top, you mean rougher, past the switchbacks, like the part that MTgirl and I are planning to drive in on?

Good thing I'm not coming to Lander lol!

Yea I did it in Frankenstein.

That lower part is pretty simple. It's bumpy but nothing dangerous.

And yes up top is going to be bigger rocks mostly. Just right before the switchbacks I've found out. You'll do fine though I'm sure.

The mini wy meet will be on roads similar to that one. Nothing a stock truck can't handle though.

Would anyone in Laramie be willing to help me out? My boot tore on my drivers side CV and I could use a place to replace it for a couple hours. Has anyone done it and have any tips?

I'm so frustrated with this 'fix a problem, and then something breaks' streak I got going on...

Psh no worries. I still have an old one in my toolbox. AAP will (should) give me free replacements for the ones I have now.
