Good, although the area I'll mainly be in will be pretty barren haha

As long as I can meet up with some of y'all from the area to do some meets, I'll be happy though!

yeah they hired 2 of us from my school this year, and 2 others last year. Almost my entire interview was describing my suspension design, they made me draw on a piece of scrap paper how my passive rear steer works  I feel sorry for people not involved with baja who are trying to find a job lol.

Looks good! I know it's just a mock up, but i'll ask anyway, are you planning on leaving ~1 inch of space under the bottom to the tailgate or is you design to have it that snug?

This. Especially if you have the spare underneath still, you need space to get that stupid rod in there. But it looks like the tailgate needs a little room right there too.

Cool. So basically a thicker metal version of the stock bumper. Any plans for wrap around side protection?

I got the idea of retrofitting an ignition ring light from another member on here. I found a used one off a 3rd gen limited 4runner and fitted it into my taco this morning, no wire hookups yet but I tested the bulb and it's a nice bright green.

    IMG_4335_zpsead40327_555ba761d75566dac12966de71b4d0bb9cd3b7fe.jpg

I'll probably use the green bulb that already came with the ring and tap it into the dome light wire unless someone knows a better wire to tap, possibly one with a timer that eventually turns off after enter and close the door at night trying to find the hole :p Similar in function on other Yotas out there that have this courtesy ring light from factory. More detailed pics of this will be posted in my build thread.

Changed my oil and put on some 1" BORA wheel spacers to fix the "tucked in" look of the tires in the wheel wells. Now they are about flush with my fender flares and looks much better. It will look even better when I put a little bigger tire on there once these wear out (265/65/17 now).
