Hey you guys! I'm new to the world of Tacomas, I'm in Jacksonville FL. right now but on the 9th I will be taking a cross country trip and should be in WA by the 13th. I'm in the Navy and my next command is on Whidbey Island. Haven't had a chance to meet up with other Taco owners do to I'm doing a lot of running around down in the south but when I get up to WA. I would love to meet up and do what ever Taco owners do!

Mike, I'm booked up for this month with Search & Rescue, but the rest of the guys have been trying to start something. It seems like there's good ideas, but everyone has troubles picking a date. Nail them down to a date and make them come up with an idea for you :D

Most of the guys are offroaders. If you are interested in seeing that but don't want to use your rig, our guys would be very happy to have a co-pilot. It makes for a very fun trip!

Did some snow wheeling in the Mount Baker National Forest this afternoon..

Forgot my camera, so crappy phone pictures will have to suffice. Spent about 2 hours winching up a 300 foot section of incline, in order to get to a turn around point.

Never underestimate the importance of winch extensions, shackles and a good snatch block!

As always, pictures don't really do it justice. That's about 3 feet of snow..

I was solo for this one, well - had a girl as a co pilot:D.

Really, really wish I got some pictures of how I recovered myself. I was pretty impressed.

Did some cool tricks with a snatch block and extensions; spent about 2 hours in 3 foot deep snow, and 30 degree incline. It was a hell of a time.

I've got enough in my truck for an overnight stay if need be: camp stove, sleeping bags, food etc. Also, GPS beacon for if the shit truly hits the fan.

^Date and time for suggested trip? Have you been to Elbe before? I've heard it has fairly tight trails but never been there myself...

Finished the skid plate (80lbs of pure BEEF). The holes did not line up perfectly, so it took Mike and I a while to get it bolted up. At least now I know the proper sequence/procedure to get it bolted up.

After all was said and done, it's on there and SOLID!

I'm not too familiar with the layout of WA, but anyone here close to Mcchord AFB? I'm gonna be spending a week there in May and was looking for advice on what to do/places to see or if any TW peeps wanted to meet up.

What's up guys? I've been busy putting in hardwood floors the last few weeks. Been a pain in the ass actually since all my furniture downstairs is crammed into a corner and there's dust everywhere. It would've finished a lot sooner but the damn orbital sander we rented from Home Depot left a circular groove over the entire floor - like a small knife. I would've caught it but was working on little sleep and there was fricking dust everywhere.

Since then picked up a dust collector and resanded for a week by hand. That dust collector is the shit. Just finishing up this weekend. Weather is getting warmer so getting ready to dive into painting the truck.

Ben - I've got a buddy who owns a bar in Puyallup. Maybe we should see who can meet for some food/drinks next Saturday down in your neck of the woods?
