Tore my tranny back out and replaced my rear main seal..

 

Saved some gas Took the gf's 4Runner to class

 

The project is on hold for now while im working on a Jetta engine swap. But yes it will have a good enough gap to allow the tailgate to lay down.

Its going to look a lot different when its done. I have plans to add hitch receiver, tow points, rear lights, trailer plug, and possibly some wrap around tubing.

 

Just out of curiosity for a rough estimate how much would it cost for that sheet metal to make your bumper? I'm planning on making a rear bumper and am curious on how much people are paying for metal.

 

Got a flat last night while wheeling, stick punctured right through my sidewall of my duratrac

 

...and other duratrac bites the dust.

 

The 3/16" plate really isn't that much money. That bumper there looks like $50 to me. That's assuming you have a steel distributor near you so you don't have to order online.

Sad. I want duratracs but there's a lot of this issue out there. Now I'm looking at the dynapro m/t.

 

They work great if your just riding on the streets with some light trail riding, but anything more than that and they don't do too good

 

Annnnnnd back to the drawing board for selecting tires.

 

This. I've not seen good results from Duratracs from a lot of the local guys running them. Much better performance from KM2s or MTRs. Heck even BFG ATs seem to do better than the Duratracs.

Quick question. I replaced my deck the other day and lost one of the little metal keys that hold the climate control knobs on. Anyone know where to get them? Dealership wants $18 for a new knob w/ that key...

A lot of the guys up here run Duratracs and have no issues. A bunch of guys ran them at Rausch creek last year without issue

Called them and they have no tacomas or 4 runners. They seem to never have any in haha.

 

Search your cab high and low. I lost mine once, then found it under my seat the next time I vacuumed.
