Just enjoy the cold! It is over 90 degrees here during the day and it isn't even summer yet! I miss the cold weather. I have been meaning to do my emblems for months now and just never get around to it, and I thought today was the day for sure....ah well :)

I know I know but traveling Europe seemed so much more important at the time. What was I thinking

Lucky! I was planning on going back over this year but my entire family is coming out here throughout the rest of the year so it will have to be pushed back to the beginning of next year. Trying to just save a significant amount so I can pack up and move back, but all this traveling is so costly lol

Brief update: Had my water pump, timing belt and ac pulley replaced by the dealership today. Drives great but sounds louder than before and has a ticking noise that he claims is the injectors pulsing. I am a little leery about this as I do not remember it ticking like that before I took it in. I could be mistaken, but he said that they all tick like that.

Besides that, he said my fan clutch bearing bracket is screaming and needs to be replaced asap. According the dealer it is a $400 part but he will be kind enough not to charge me labor for it. I am thinking it is probably fairly easy to do myself, so if anyone has any information on that, I would really appreciate it. He said I should refrain from driving and try to have it done in the next week or two.

They were shocked beyond belief when they heard that the belt they changed was the original and that it had 250,500 miles on it. They wanted to keep it because they have never heard of one lasting that long lol. It still looks quite good too. Overall, happy with the job they did and the price ($689). :)

I know. I want a double din in there, but I seem to put more money into my other projects before my truck so I am changing that now. Working on an Elite bumper and some other things soon. Hopefully some new paint too :D

Nice! I love that the UG (ultragauge) has sounding alarms (not just visual) that you can set should your temps go over a certain threshold. The UG saved me one time when I had it setup in an old Mitsubishi Eclipse that had engine cooling problems. I didn't want to have to glance at the analog temp gauge in paranoia ever second, a sounding alert worked much better so I could keep my eyes on the road. During my scenario the UG made a nice alert sound when the engine climbed over 230 degrees. It ended up being a failed thermostat, I replaced it, and I was good to go. A bonus is that the UG has the capability to reset the CEL.

I wish my trusty SG (scangauge) had the alert sound feature of the UG but I really need to monitor my transmission temps, and the SG does this very well. I may have to just get a OBD2 splitter and run both! :D

I'm curious, are you having any problems with the ABS light turing on with the UG? I had to get a special "ISO only" cable (it has a missing pin on purpose) from the scangauge folks to run my scangauge to avoid the ABS light on my dash from triggering.

Really enjoy reading your build Tacogirl!

I love the UG! I got it because my temp gauge stopped working after I had my LEDs installed. Probably nothing major, but it was a good excuse to buy an UG. My ABS light is actually on at the moment but it was on before I installed it. I will let you know once I figure out why the light is on if it stays on with the UG. I don't think so though because from what I have read on here, no one else has had problems with that.

I ordered it straight through their website! I also had a question for you actually. I saw your Elite bumper on your truck and it looks awesome. I was going to get one similar to yours but the more I look at them all on Tim's previous group buy, the more I like the one with the half guard. Were you going to buy one similar to the one you did or were going to buy one with a guard and would you change your mind now? I like the way both of them look, so I am undecided lol. What are your thoughts now that you have one?? Thanks

Awesome! Look forward to seeing it! Do you prefer your Jeep to your Tacoma?
