I'm new here as I'll be getting my first Tacoma later this week - Can't wait!
I've had a 03 Trailblazer that towed our 17 ft Tracker Targa around and took yearly vacations from Illinois up through Wisconsin and into Northern Minnesota.
The TB did ok towing, but not sure what to expect with the Tacoma.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I tow a Tracker Pro170 and it handled it fine before and after the TSB. The breaks are spongey to begin with, just keep that in mind.

    Too many to list
Iv towed my boat (21' tunnel hull), only thing that was a issue was braking, and it wasnt that bad considering the trailer dosnt have brakes. Other then that it pulled it with no problems.

How much does your boat weigh? My 20 CC weighs in @ 2800lbs and in the city and the boat ramps its good however driving I-95 @ 60 mph the front end was very loose where I have to compensate all the time.I'm looking into checking the weight on tongue to see if it's too heavy where it's causing the rear end to sag.

my 21CC is close to 5500lbs with trailer, boat, gear, gas and i dont really notice any sway or control problems. i was going about 65mph from fort lauderdale to the keys.

nope...missed the warranty period:( i get almost no sag in the back when i've towed both of these. very impressed. the only sag i had was when i had the boat, 4 people in the cab and gear loaded down in the bed and boat. but was barely noticeable

I think that I might have the boat trailer with too much tongue weight, I think I have to move the winch back a little to see if it makes a difference

yeah, most definetly...keep me posted. Since I found this site I haven't been able to keep my hands of my truck doing little mods here and there.

I also think that since your truck is a 4X4 the lift is a little higher.

i dont have the TRD package so i think my lift is the same as the prerunner...but my truck is probably about 500lbs heavier with the 4x4 hardware so that might help with the sway
