anybody do Virtual Stock Exchange?

I just started doing virtual stock exchanges with some guys at work. It's like online poker really. Each person in your group is given 100k to invest over a predetermined time period. My group is battling out to see who the winner is for two weeks. It's really a lot of fun. I fucked up royally and was in last place after i bought about 25k worth of shares from one company, but I was smart, risked it on gm and bought 45k shares and profited about 24grand today. needless to say I will be the winner. If anybody is interested in getting a VSE group going, I can start one for TW.

BTW, if you know nothing about the stock market like I do, its a lot of fun and a good way to learn.

no, i'm sure there are many sites like this, but I was basically referring to the whole concept of Virtual stocks. The website is www.virtualstockexchange.com

I don't have much time anymore but howthemarketworks.com is good.

 

i did a thing called stockquest during senior year. similar to that. you start off with an amount then you start trading. whoever has the most money at the end from trades wins.. (got an A)
edit: you guys on the east coast are no fair! us west coast people have to be up early to trade :[
SO i guess we can have some kind of prize at the end

its time consuming cause its addicting and the time involved is during the workdays (obviously when the market is open.)
