trd supercharger?

any one have one of these i was thinking about get one just not sure

search on here. There are plenty of guys running a supercharger. Just need to look around.

 

What are you not sure about??

 

It's pretty straight forward. It gives a pretty decent increase in power and under normal, normal as in conservative-ish, driving you won't see a MPG drop but stand on the loud pedal and I can promise you it will.

Is it "worth" it, only YOU can decide the answer to that as it's different for everyone.

Good luck deciding on your SC purchase and remember, it's only money, you can't take it with you and being the richest guy in the cemetery still means you're dead.

I am running one. If you have any warranty left, you can keep it if you have the dealer install it. Gas mileage was the same as long as you can keep your foot out of it. The power is there when you want it. I ran a 14.3 in the 1/4 with just the supercharger and an AFE Stage 2 intake last fall.

 

What's the 0-60 regularly and with it installed?
I really wish top gear had run there's around the track when they had there's.
I have all terrains so i think i dont really need it. But i certainly want it.

 

Ok, I have a question because I have an intrest in getting a supercharger. More than likely a factory one. How muck HP/torque do you gain?

 

I think stock is somewhere in the 7s?
Just the supercharger I believe I had mine around 6.5 secs
With the upgrades I have now I'm down to 5.8 secs
Now get the valve body done you could shave an entire second off and get closer to that 4-5 sec range in the video above! lol

*NOTE* ive got a double cab 4x4 so the 2x4 and even acess cabs can have faster times

I am curious what others 0-60 are with the TRD S/C?

Stock HP from 236 to 304 s/c
Stock TQ from 266 to 334 s/c

 

The supercharger equates to about a 30% increase in power. I'm getting mine installed at the end of the month when I get back from vacation.

 

While that is probably one of the coolest taco vids I have ever seen, there is no way I'm ever going to get that with a 4.0 4x4 double cab. That's got to be an S-runner or something. Maybe a v6 single cab or access cab running street tires?

Who? I wanted to ask a couple basic questions about his mods. Namely the transmission mod from IPT since I searched their website and can't seem to find a price and parts list to complete this. I watched a video from them on taking the transmission apart but still am in the dark on the details of the actual mod and pricing.

 

The video is old and he's got a new set-up now lol
