Aftermarket exhaust for DC LB ???

Does it exist ?? - Anyone know if there is an aftermarket performance exahaust for a dual cab long bed taco ??

why not get the muffler of your choice and have a shop cut the old muffler out,weld the new on in?? essentially the same thing, but alot cheaper.

 

^ from what I saw underneath was that near the cats the exhaust pinches and would be restrictive. If you're going to just do a muffler job you might as well pay up a bit more and get some hp out of it

 

send a pm to chris4x4...he did some tests, and found that bends in the pipe are actually good for power.

 

I will agree that if you lose too much back pressure by going to a smooth free flowing 3in exhaust you will lose a nice chunk of low end torque so you'll "feel" like you've lost power. My plans are for a trd supercharger which i'm sure will make good use of the smoother airflow of a solid 3" straight through. So far I found that only AFE & Gibson make a catback for the DC LB

 

I have the Banks Monster exhaust system for dc lb and LOVE it!!! The sound is deep and smooth.

 

is it a 2.5 or 3 ??

any increase in power ? And hows the sound at low speed/ highway ?

 

It feels pepier than stock (even with lift and tires). It is a low growl at highway and if i punch it the growl becomes a roar. It is deeper in tone than a TRD exhaust. From in the cab you can hear it, but it is not annoying.

 

sounds pretty badass - any drone to it ? do you have any pics of it on hand to post up ? if not no biggie

 

I think it is bad ass! As for drone, you hear it just about all times, but being a deeper tone is more V-8ish. you can see the exhaust exit in some of the pics in my gallery. let me know if that is enough or you want more extensive pics.

 

Just checked it out - looks like a quality piece. I just got my taco last weekend and am already going mod crazy.....you'd think that going to a pickup would curb my habit

 

LOL, not a chance!!! I have a wish list a mile long and growing everytime i log on here. My wife just shakes her head in disbelief.
