Location of a Blown head unit fuse

Where abouts would it be? I've looked inside my manuals that came with the truck rather thoroughly, and have found nothing, there's something called the "head" on the fuse box inside the cab... i'm so close to just checking every fuse as my head unit wont turn on.

 

Hi, I was just wondering if your radio is stock or aftermarket. An aftermarket head unit has a fuse located directly on the rear of the head unit.

 

There are 3 possible fuses that are part of a factory radio. One is the ACC fuse located in the dash panel fuse block. Then you have "radio 1" fuse and "radio 2" fuse located in the under-hood fuse block. (Left front of engine compartment)

 

Well i've checked all of them and some more fuses, and none are blown. ALso the cigarete adapter is also not working, and apaprently one needs the other to work.. and more ideas as to why it isn't working would be much appreciated!

 

OK. Just going back through this, you mentioned the head unit wont turn on, and you have included that the cigarette lighter/power port is inop as well? Lets get into a bit more detail then. Do you have the built in amplifier option, or not? That information may help a little. Also, do you have ANY display at all? (Clock, illumination, etc) on the radio?

Also, when you checked the fuse, did you just look at it, or did you actually use a test light to verify it had power on both sides of the fuse? The ACC fuse supplies power to the radio, as well as a relay that sends power to the cig lighter. That is why I asked.

 

where exactly is the acc fuse??

Hello, I have the same problem on my 2018 taco and yes I have build an amp and one day the wire That come from the radio to the amp make contact to the chassis accidentally and immediately my radio turn off.
I check my fuses and all look good, I also check the oEM radio and there is not a fuse. Is there anything else that I can check.?
Please help.

 

The ACC fuse is the 7.5A fuse in the panel by your left knee from the driver’s seat.

Use a meter when checking fuses.
