I have submitted my kickstarter page to the kickstarter site officials for review. Should be off the ground very soon!

Thanks again for all your support -- we can do this!

We all need to spread the word on the other forums that we frequent. The faster kickstarter meet the goal the faster he can go into production. Make sure to mention it in your posts!! :D

So my kickstarter page got rejected :(. They claim that my project doesn't meet their guidelines, but the didn't provide any specifics as to why. I read, re-read, and re-re-read their guidelines and can't see what it is that they objected to.

I have one chance to appeal, but it better be a good argument to be successful, so I need to first figure out what it is exactly that will make them happy.

My best guess at this point is that I didn't include a photo of the kit itself (I just included video of the prototypes in action). Well I don't have an actual hidden kit to take a photo of, because all the prototypes are installed in trucks -- and dammit, they're HIDDEN once they're installed! :p

Sorry guys. I'm going to try to figure this out. If anybody is savvy/experienced with kickstarter who thinks they can help figure this out, I would appreciate any input.

Yea wtf kickstarter, there are stupider things getting funding.

Dig and dig, take several shots of the parts laid out and in the process of install. Can you call them or email them for an explanation?

They don't provide that option, as far as I can tell.

I guess I could put together a "mock-up" of the hidden kit and take some pics. The semi-hidden kit is a pretty close parallel, so I could just take some pics of that I guess. This is assuming that this is what their beef was to begin with.

    Here are the guidelines:

    http://www.kickstarter.com/help/guidelines

The only other thing that I can think of is that my page was construed as "pre-ordering of finished products", which is bs if that is the reason why it got bounced.

    Hardware and Product Design guidelines
    • Show your work
Projects must be clear about their state of development, and cannot be presented as preorders of finished products. Projects must show details (photos, videos, sketches) of their progress so far, along with a prototype demonstrating the product's current functionality. Projects must explain how the final design is likely to differ from the prototype, and include a production plan (i.e., how you're going to make it) and an estimated timeline.
    • No product simulations or photorealistic renderings
Technical drawings, CAD designs, sketches, and other parts of the design process are awesome and encouraged. Photorealistic renderings and simulations that could be mistaken for finished products or real events, however, are not allowed.
    • Single servings
Product Design and Hardware projects can only offer one reward per pledge. Offering multiple quantities can imply that rewards are shrink-wrapped and ready to ship when they’re not. With some projects, we'll make exceptions for what we consider sensible sets — things like salt and pepper shakers, notebooks, building blocks, etc.
