I had the AVS in channels for almost 4 years and never had an issue untill i shattered one wheeling,so i i'm going to try the EGR in channels and see how they do.

My windows are have been tinted for about 3 years and i never had an issue with the windows or tint scratching and the tint is on the inside of the window so how could the vent visor scratch it?

I've been looking for an overhead console with temp/compass for an 09+ and just missed 2 this week! could someone drop me a pm if they see one in the BST thread?

 

Good point Denis, the visor goes against the outside of the window..didn't even think of that when I first read the tint thing.

 

Nope. One of the latches is broken, need to get either the metal replacement one or a whole new one

He said the tint due to the extra pressure on the window when closing against the seal. The dirt/grime that collects on the seal and top are of the window can be abrasive

 

I was wondering the same thing... I've got my windows tinted and have not noticed the in-channel ventvisors messing with them at all. I would also love to see soft plastic scratch the glass My guess would be that dirt and crap works it's way between the window glass and the plastic vent and will start wearing the glass but that would take a huge amount of time and you'd have to be rolling your window down like 100 times a day (which is unlikely unless you're a drug dealer, pimp or drive through critic.

 

Don't think I want to go wheeling like this.
