Hello all! I just joined Tacoma World and may be in the market very soon for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4X4 with the V6. I have a 1989 Toyota pickup 4X4 regular cab. It has been through hell and back and still runs like a champ. I do have a quick question regarding driver information. On the new 2013 Tacomas, do you get a MPG readout or Miles till Empty readout? Most newer vehicles these days will give you this type of information but I haven't heard or seen anything for the Tacomas. Thanks.

Hello All. I am new to the site and may be in the market for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4X4. I was wondering if the new 2013 had a MPG readout or miles till empty readout? Or any driver information really.

Welcome, I don't think it has been implemented in the new tacos.. yet, hopefully someone with a 13 will chime in.

I am not sure personally but I bet a quick call to any Toyota dealership will answer that question.

Scangauge or ultragauge, as well as many other after market options can provide this info

scangauge and ultragauge look promising. Which is better? The ultragauge seems to be a lot cheaper.

that's a very subjective question...do some poking around for more info, and you'll have to decide for yourself. Some say the scangauge maybe easier to calibrate...not that either one is difficult.

There are also apps for your phone such a Torque....I have no experience with the blutooth dongle

My stock 2013 v6 PreRunner with SR5 provides neither. You get a digital odometer and an analog fuel tank gauge. :)

I guess that the Prius technology hasn't made it to the stock Tacoma yet.

had that information on my 2007 limited tundra. never used it though because the number dropped too fast and it made me depressed haha!

but seriously, scangauge or ultragauge can be set up to what you want (and more!) as others have mentioned. i have a scangauge and love it. my dad has an ultragauge.

Does anyone know if the ultragauge is small enough to fit next to the USB/Aux to the left? Looks a great place to put it. I attached a pic for reference.

It also occurs to me that it may be possible to relocate the USB/Aux to the empty slot to the right of the current placement. That would give me more room to mount the ultragauge.
