should i buy this super charger

A guy rolled his tacoma with 155k miles on it. It has a super charger 2nd gen on it and he wants $500 for complete motor with super charger. It has been on since new. Should i buy it? I dont know if it has any injector up grades. If i dont want the super charger after i buy it what would i be able to sell it for on here tacoma world?

I would have someone inspect it to see if the engine and supercharger still work right. It depends on how bad he rolled the truck and at what speed he was going when it rolled. There could be hairline or bigger fractures all over the place.

 

I rolled my 01 (someone tboned me) the engine was completely untouched. It started right up! Too bad it was totaled and the frame was broken. What does the engine compartment look like? Is it in good shape?

 

I would buy it. Even if the supercharger was bad you can have them rebuilt for around a grand. You would still be several thousand short of buying a brand new supercharger.

 

ya the truck isent completely mangled. it was rolled but doesn't look terrible.

I think its a second generation, 1st gen supercharger.
