Noticed today that my door jamb says recommended tire pressure is 29 PSI, yet the light comes on at anything less than 35 PSI.

 

So slow here today. I've installed gay mudflaps and re wired a golf cart to 24v

Thought you worked for Ford? Closest thing you've shown off is that Mazda.

 

Wut.... I have my tires set at 28. You must have the worst bumpsteer ever...

 

Maybe because the tires are much larger than stock?

 

I disabled my tpms system all together, but before I did that I never had an issue...

 

Disabled with no light? If so, how?

 

I'm at Mazda for a externship for school.

I thought about doing that with a wheel barrel tire.

Do it

 

Pull out HVAC control panel, unplug it and move it outta the way, look in the hole for a red box, pull it out of the hole, that is the tpms cpu. Cut the red wire, then splice it into the blue wire, but do not cut the blue wire. Also, leave enough room on the red wire when you cut it so you can re-wire it together in case you ever sell the truck. This mod puts + 5 ohms on the tpms system so it will read that all the sensors are fine thus no obnoxious tpms light. Was one of my first mods, I don't even have tpms sensors and it's been fine for over a year and a half...

Finally got the winch controls mounted and the solenoid relocated and wired up,now all i have to do is spool the synthetic rope.

 

What does bump steer have to do with tire pressure

On my truck you set your tire pressures then set the monitor to that press with the button under the steering column

 

Serious. Bump steer is when you change suspension geometry (lift/lower) which changes the geometry of the steering components. While turning/ suspension cycling the steering components can hit other components due to said change in geometry : bump steer.
