Another question. I just got my truck's alighment done after setting my 5100's to 0

If I put them up to 1.75 in the front to level it, will I need to get another alignment?

And same goes for it I get some ride rite in the back do I need to get another alignment?

Yes you will most likely need to realign after lifting in the front just in case but lifting the rear you shouldnt have to realign again.

I wonder if I should lift it now to the 1.75 and take it back to the dealership (they did the alignment yesterday) and say something dosent feel right and to double check the alignment.

I would hate to have to pay another $80....

I just set it to 1.75 in the front.

But now the front is about 3/4" higher then the rear and I have a 4 Leaf pack in the rear... LOL

The limited and sport comes with 4 leafs default and I believe the or comes with 3. If i were you I would bump them back down to .85 on the front billies of the bro lean bothers you as much as it does me.

I was going to get some air bags in the back soon.

So would it be better to just air the back up until its level and ride it like that (will it be a harsh ride)

or should I get an additional AAL and just keep the air bags to 5psi and let the AAL level it?

or lower the front to .85 and keep the air bags to 5psi?

Either way I now plan on getting a rear air bag system (either ride-rite or air lieft).

hmmm, do you think tightening your u-bolts tighter than stock could have brought your rear down? Did you mess with anything else while installing also?

I dont think it lowered it any by tightening the U-bolts.

Nothing else was messed with. Do you think the front just needs to settle in? I did ride it around the block a few times and did some sharp circles each direction to see if I could hear any issues.

I'm going to go remeasure real quick and post the new numbers.

Just drop it to .85 and it will look very close to level i guess. You do have the slight taco lean now ha. That is kind of weird also. I guess all trucks are different.

You can get an AAL that works with the TSB but that will lift you about another 1.5"s in the rear if thats okay with you.

I prefer not to lift the rear any more than it is now. I dont want my motorcycle ramps to be any steeper them they are now LOL

Sounds like .85 would work for you in the front, and it should keep you level, I didn't have the 4 leafs in rear ,I added the HD 3 leaf and set my front at 1.75, just air your bags up when you haul, and deflate when you don't. Remember when you measure is your tank full of gas? I don't know if that would make a huge difference.

New numbers after I rode it around today (front is still set to 1.75):

Current Height (from center of hub to bottom of fender):
    • Front Left (Driver Side): 22 1/4"
    • Front Right (Passenger Side): 22 3/4"
    • Rear Left: 22"
    • Rear Right: 22 1/4"
Current Height (from ground to bottom of fender):
    • Front Left (Driver Side): 36 1/4"
    • Front Right (Passenger Side): 36 5/8"
    • Rear Left: 36 1/4"
    • Rear Right: 36 5/8"
Nothing is loaded in the truck and nothing additional that adds weight has been added. This is with about 1/2 tank of gas.
    * I did notice that after I set the front to 1.75 and I took it out for its first spin I heard 1 clunk spound when I was backing up from my garage to take it out for the spin. I drove it around the block a couple times but I didnt hear it again so I thought maybe it was the spring getting put in place or something like that.

Today I drove it around for a while and no sounds, that is until I pulled into my garage, then I put it in reverse because I was a little to far forward and I heard the loud clunk sound again. I tried to put it in forward and then reverse several times nut could not reproduce the sound.

Any ideas what that sound is?
    * I have read that some people hear a clunk sound because the stabilizer bolts were loose, well I dont think this is the case because when I installed my shocks, I didnt have to touch the stabilizer (AKA losen it up or remove it or anything).

    Thanks

I just got the Firestone Lifetime Alignment because I'm sure I will be tweeking the suspension for a little while.

Here is the Alignment that was done today with 5100's and the front set to 1.75 and a 4 leaf pack.

Does it look good or should I go back and have them do some changes?
