Me too. I blew my belt last trip, still haven't gotten a spare. Along with the brake lines, anyone remember the bolt size to fit in the line as a plug?

Well guys my problems have begun. I'm pretty sure the truck isn't going to make this trip. The chassis is giving me issues from when I took hit in Mojave last Sept. Hass is going to cage the motor and plate the frame and set it up for 12" c/o's and bypasses.

He told me to do this a year ago. Wish I would have listened. Sorry guys. Looks like I'm in for Sept.

Its fatiguing. The frame rail is tweaking and has started to hit steering shaft at the crush point. So an engine cage, clearancing the steering shaft and plating the frame is in order. So when its finished, I'll be back in the game.

Dam this looks so epic! I'm so down, but I'm not sure if I can squeeze out the cash for an excursion like this right now being in between work. And I know it says stock is fine, but I'm worried just running 5100's on 32's and no off road lights. Got the race radio and all the other needed gear, but not sure the truck can handle a trip like this as it sits now. I'll stay subbed and see what happens.

You'll be fine, some people have gone stock and I know a few with 5100s. As long as you have a spare tire or 2 and the gas you should really be fine. The lights will be important too for the night run portion.

I've been through canyon trails at night with just my HIDs (no retro) and have been fine, but I'm sure the desert is a whole other monster. Don't have the budget for the lightbar I want right now (40" roof mounted) so do you think the HIDs alone will suffice?

How many miles we looking at round trip? Just trying to get an idea for gas consumption for the trip.

I know past trips have been 300-400 miles.

Are you going to be able to make it Chris? Truck on the brink of being done?

Headlights alone....not really going to cut it. Makes it a little dangerous on a dusty trail following 10 other trucks. If you can't see your going to either break something or hit something.

Budget for a tank of gas and 10 extra gallons of fuel you need to bring with you.

I would consider a full tank to get to barstow, 15 gal extra, and a fill up when you are going home. The lights are more for everyone else rather than your self :p expect to have a shit ton of dust out there as well.

They are hitting it hard right now so we will see, Ill have a more of an idea when I get back to the states next week.
