Mass is one of them also. Any lights on on the dash will get you rejected, It also throws a ABS code on ford vehicles so even with the light out I'll fail you. Failed a MS6 today as a matter a fact but not for that. Front windows metered 2.89%.

 

I'm gonna be selling my Duratracs soon when I get my 255/80/17 KM2's. anyone need a spare or something?

If the light isn't on, there's no way for the tech to know is there? I didn't think the TPMS system was readable through the OBDII port.

 

I used to get that on RT 1 South headed into Boston, with the overpasses. I always thought it was due to the Dakar leafs I was running in the rear coming out of a 4 Runner and being way too f-ing stiff. The front end took the expansion joints just fine, but the rear would hit and bounce like a fat ass on the dance floor. I threw a few hundred pounds in the back and it didn't seem to be a problem anymore.

 

You guys get hosed with regs. It's slowly getting worse in NH, and Maine pissed off a lot of wheelers when they changed bumper height. There were rigs parked up and down the ME/NH border, 4 Sale.

 

Lately I've heard of people failing if their license plate is old and doesn't reflect like it once did..that's almost funny

 

Not sure why but I've been looking at snorkels the last two days. I want one like the Rugged Ridge modular snorkel, its sweet. check it out and let me know if anyone has any idea if there is a kit like that out there for the taco.

 

Safari Snorkel is your only option as far as I know. I think Volant was asking for a 2nd Gen for fitment but I haven't seen a final product yet. The Safari Snorkel was actually made for the Hilux but comes with a fit kit for the Tacoma. Check out Sierra Expeditions for pricing and if you search 'snorkel', look for threads made by 'misc' as he set up a group buy and an installation thread for the Safari Snorkel.
