I don't see the need to drive at night. Evenings are for sitting around the campfire, enjoying a cold one and reviewing the days events.

    you hush

You guys know how it goes. Not everyone that says they are coming will actually do so.

I think it is only morrison where a large group will be an issue.

Yea i can see having to sorta send people up in groups on Morrison happening..

    everything else will be fine.

CBs will just be required the more people come.

should be that big a deal i guess. Just not a lot of places for us to pull over on some of these trails..much less 20 of us

should make for some awesome looks from all the ATV people going.."i had no idea a truck could come up here"

    Psh..

your just scared of the dark...

    remember..

but for that time line..i hope your prepared to drive at night at least a little..haha

    it'll be fun :D

don't worry..ill be there..it'll be just like following the sunset...

Nah it'll be okay. I am still expecting at least 10 rigs at this rate..but who knows.

it does start on a monday..which is not ideal for most.

but depending on who comes we will make sure the order is good(people with lockers staggered with opens, where the people with winches are ect.)

But honestly i think if we all just head up with enough space in between each truck we will do fine. Spotting is what will be hard with lots of trucks. And you can't just send up a number for 1 rig at a time to tackle a corner since none of the switch backs are the same length..

Don't give me that crap. If you want to run around at night to show off you lights, that is fine with me. I'll just be sitting at the campfire waiting for you to get back from all of your frolicking. :)

The Gitout guys are going to run it on the 1st of august. I might go out there to help and see how it goes.

I think about it all the time. I work for the family business and I own a small percentage. When we grow out of our current facility we just might move out of this wretched state. I would like to move out there, but I just can't right now.

Illinois produces some of the biggest whitetail in the country. No doubt there is way more available hunting and I am sure you have big deer. A quick google search will confirm that. You guys have Elk and Mule deer which is sweet.

I shot this 2 years ago. Scored 143"

Haha it is sad but I look for random obstacles to drive over all the time. I have literally mall crawled before.

O and it is the "Willis Tower" now. They changed the name a couple years ago.

We need to come up with inside jokes and talk condescendingly if the number gets too high. You know...exclude people the old fashion way. jk

If there is one thing you can count on is that most people are all talk. If you only had two people come on the last one with 10 people signed up. 20 people will lead to 4-5.

For example I am confirmed as of now. There is a possibility that some bullshit family function will come up and I'll get guilted into going to that instead.

    When do you sleep?

I think I'm with Ben on this VVV. Winches will be pretty much useless. If the switchbacks were treelined a snatch block might be effective if the right tree was in the right position but I don't see that happening either. It seems a bit naive to plan on relying on winches on morrison.

Also can a poll be removed or changed? Maybe you could have it changed to who is planning on coming. Not perfect.since you can't change your answer but if it is open to.see who voted what we can at least keep tabs on.people. either way it should probably be removed since the date is set.

That is why when I get a winch I will do it as a hitch mounted setup and I will wire the truck so that it can be used from the front or rear hitch receiver.

ya 5 seems about the max in a group. So depending on how many people actually go, might have to make 2 groups, which would be determined at the last minute after we know exactly whos going. Andy said he really needs his leg to be on a weekend, so it appears he will probably end up doing the 2nd if the first starts on a monday...way to go monte. starting a wheeling trip on a monday:rolleyes:
lol! Monte just has to show off haha. I guarantee you he is going to make up some reason to need to go out at night.

"oh shit guys! What was that? Sounds like a pack of hyenas! Don't worry tho, ill go hunt them down and scare them off. LIGHT FAPPER, AWAYYYY!"

snatch blocks are so much dam work, as ben said it will be so much easier to put a strap on and give the trail limo behind you a little tug if needed.
    1st gen...is best gen!
god 30 minutes, thats nuts how close that is
