I wouldn't say I "fixed" it, but I made it look better...

Just popped the dents (no filler) & used touchup paint!:taco:

Just got in from the garage. I was under the truck checking my CB again and noticed probably over 1/2'' of play. Time for a replacement?

Bah...I really don't want to do that. Do you know what kind of tools I need to change it? I also need to do my rack bushings  Need to get all of that done before I lift this summer.

CB is just two 14mm I think. Then like the 4 12s? To detach the drive shaft.

You can just use hand tools to get the cb off. What I did. Trying to remember how though..

Yeah it doesn't look too complicated to remove the drive shaft, just a few bolts on both sides. I just have no idea how to pull the bearing though.

Still getting some use out of my old KM2s. When I got the MTR's I kept one of the KM2s for my spare on the truck. That left me with 3 tires. My offroad trailer has been running 35's on some 80 series Land Cruiser wheels to match my Cruiser. The 35's were just barely too big on the trailer. If it was fully loaded the tires would hit the fenders if I was really taking high speed hits in the desert. :) A local cruiser guy was looking for a pair of 80 series wheels for his trailer so I sold him mine and found a set of 3 old school 4Runner rims to go with the 3 KM2s I had left. That gives me an extra to use as a spare on the trailer too. In a pinch, all of the trailer whees/tires could be used as spares on the Tacoma if crap really hit the fan.

So the trailer is back on some 33's. Painted the 4Runner rims last night. I like these old school rims, especially in black. Better room in the fenders with the 33's so I'm not worried about hauling ass in the desert with the trailer any more.

    Before with the 35's

Nice. Those 33s look more practical.

Hey, how well do those little plastic wheel chocks work on dirt? I am picking up my new teardrop trailer today, and I was thinking of getting some of those. I have some heavier rubber ones I use while working on the truck, but I'd like the small, light plastic ones to live in the trailer. But, I was worried they might not set or stay put well on dirt when camping.

These chocks have worked great. No complaints from me.

Man I never find any good deals on wheels up here. A new coworker of mine just bought a brand new FJ and said I have first dibs on his wheels if he ever upgrades. But they're 17s and I don't really want to go that big.

I got the Spidertrax Toyota 6 on 5-1/2" x 1-1/4" Thick Wheel Spacer (1.25") Kit direct from their Spidertrax website. I've only heard really good experiences about the spidertrax quality so I pulled the trigger. I've posted more details about why I need them on my build here.
