I loved my brother's Toyota pickup truck ('92), which was a V6 4x4 5spd. I'm looking at current Tacomas, and sadly the V6 4x4 access cabs are a bit out of my price range.

I might be able to swing a pre-runner...not sure yet. So, I'm still shopping. I have my eye on a nice 4x2 4cyl access cab on the local dealer's lot. It is too bad there isn't an option between the 2.7 and the 4.0!

About me...I'm a secondary science teacher, in the 30-34 age range, married, no kids. This will be my first truck.

I'm in Kansas, to answer one of the questions I see. Good news, of sorts; I figured out what I wanted! Bad news is they couldn't find one in my configuration ANYWHERE. So I am now waiting for one to come in on order: a Prerunner AC, V6, Auto, SR5, DV audio, AL wheels, in Speedway Blue Metallic.

Should be here late July/early August. It's going to be a long month.

Update: In case my avatar didn't give it away, I took delivery on my '09 SWB Access Cab Prerunner almost two weeks ago. Good decision! Glad I waited for the color, too.
