There was a team a few years ago that had 4 link solid axles front and rear with 33" Micky Thompson mtz's. it was very slow but raped the rock crawl event

I was talking to Scott (SgtTaco) today. I think he could feel my apprehension about doing the UCAs. My last experience with ball joints was a Jeep XJ and what a PITA. Hammers, blowtorches, freon, pullers, penetrating oil, you name it, I had to try it. Crossing my fingers and knocking on wood this goes easy-peasey.

I gotta thank everyone that pitched in and helped out. You guys turned my frown upside down. Definitely would have been a nightmare had I tackled it alone.

Pigger, that ball joint press was about 10% helpful and wouldn't recommend if you want it for working on your truck. The geometry of the spindles and the fenders make it impossible to use. Ended up pulling the spindles and using Ripcord's megaton press to push the ball joint out. Once we figured that out, went like clockwork. Seriously owe some peeps good beer and good food.

    Here's the topside:

And solved my coil contact problem:

They ride smooth. Still need to get the alignment done but very happy with where they are now.

Can take it to full droop and plenty of room between the spindle and the coil.
