Woot! Got a new business to form my skid plates and the guy will have it done tomorrow. And his price is still reasonable.

    This thread is dead.

I worked 12 hours today. Time to buy more stuff for the truck. Might get a grille craft.

I want to buy a new stereo and tint so bad! But I'm making myself stop with the mods for the next 3-4 weeks...

Next purchase for me needs to be a full size spare!

Get a spare, then for stereo get a sub first, it's the most important:)

Haha yeah, definitely getting a spare next.

I'm going to buy a head-unit and amp wiring kit first. That way I'll have everything prewired so that when I do buy a sub I'll be ready. I want to buy one of these boxes, but they're so expensive at $120 vs just buying a $40 box that would take up a seat.

I actually got rid of my sub a little while back because I'm white and listen to mostly country, so it just got annoying. A good component set of 6x9"s in the rear can provide enough bass to fill these cabs just fine for my taste. But I might do a basslink and leave the stock rears.

The only reason I want a sub is for when I want to play around. I mostly listen to country as well. There are the occasional songs that I'd like to add some more bass to, although the stock setup in our Tacomas isn't bad.

Some day I'll replace the stock speakers with an amp as well, but for now a new head-unit will make it sound better enough for me.

I have a bass volume knob which I turn down for metal because it just doesn't have clean bass. But I crank it for the dubstep:D

Yeah actually, what type of music do you listen to? Getting a sub isn't always the most important
EDIT: Nevermind, just go ahead and post the answers before I ask

I listen to literally everything, but my main music genre is country. I've been through the sub phase already. This time I'm just going with something that will compliment music better. I like to listen to the occasional rap and dubstep when I want some bass.

My old setup was a cheap set of 12" subs in a box with an amp for $180. They weren't bad, but I fried the amp after having it for 6 months.

Then I bought this insane setup from somebody at school. Definitely the loudest in our whole school. Way overkill, but I had fun with it haha

I had the sub because in high school I wanted to look cool and bump rap around the parking lot. That phase is long gone and I had the amp at about 25% power for the last 2 years. I like some bass but I like it punchy, not boomy. Country music has great bass, but it's only fill. Rap is only good for thundering bass, who gives a crap what lil Wayne is saying.

Mine was pretty much the same. I liked having the most bass and we used it when we were out trail riding haha

Any other time when I was listening to music mine would be almost all the way off, just enough for fill.

I listened to dubstep before it became this mainstream bullshit.
