anybody know if this would fit a tacoma?

Edit,I know it fill fit (nissan hardbody) but will it fit in the cab area well?

 

If you could find someone to bend the pipe couldnt you build one yourself (you have welder dont you ben?)

Elite is way more. Even with the GB mine ended up like 850$ IIRC.

How is a tube stronger than an ARB?

 

A base bumper is only 625 from elite plus shipping...that GB pricing tho

DOM tubing. Arbs really aren't that robust..

 

I'd dare to disagree, those things are stout. I'd rather be behind a plate bumper such as an ARB than a tube, any day.

 

Just basing it on stories I've heard and things I've been told.

Unfortunately, the ARBs could be a lot better but they don't seem to be holding up very well to impacts with deer. Seen a few threads about this.

I've seen pics of a crane doing a recovery of a tacoma that was rolled off into a ravine. The crane is lifting the whole truck from the stinger on the badland bumper. The whole vehicle is 4-5 feet off the ground, hanging by its nose. The bumper is very strong.

 

And the follow up was the bumper was salvaged when the truck was totaled and used on another Tacoma.

 

For the most part you are fucked in any non small collision. Doesn't take much to bend frames on vehicles... granted they can attempt to straighten them.

 

I'd like to see the threads of the impacts with deer? I have a ton of deer in my area, and I'd like to see how it holds up, been wanting to smack a deer for a while.

 

Also no place for blinker or fog lights on the base model.

 

You know they test these ARBs on kangaroos in Australia? They are made for impact, and in my opinion, the "cadillac" of bumpers, especially in that they work with the crumple zones for the truck's airbags. Just about anything can be engineered better, it's a matter of price versus practicality. Tube does nothing except act as a cage, doesn't cover much.
