So been driving around. Sua > Soa big time over whoop sized speed bumps. There's two in my neighborhood that my rear would normally buck on. Went through it faster than normal and felt nothing out of the rear!

 

Thinking I might do something super simple tube bumper in the rear to keep weight down

 

testing suspension on speed bumps like a boss.

Looks good man, congrats on the SUA! Are you gonna bring the front down or the rear up? or rock the bro lean? lol How much can you bring the front down and still clear your tires?

 

I can still do some trimming in the front and bring it down about 1/2" or so, I need to look into ways of bringing the rear up too possibly.

 

Well bringing down the front is simple, maybe a little more clearancing.

For the rear you could:

- Shorter shackle, remain inverted
- Shackle flip - 7-9" Shackle
- New Front Spring Hanger From a Giant Kit (would net about an 1" or so)

That's all I can think of right now.

 

Would longer shackles be an easy answer to rear lift or is it more complicated than that? also, I added a full plate cbi hc rear bumper to my truck and didn't notice the weight as much as I thought I would. you could try rolling around with 140 pounds of sand bags in the rear of your bed to see if the weight would make a big difference...

Edit: just saw your shackles are still inverted... Nvmind on the longer shackle part lol!

What does changing to the Giant hanger do with ride height?

Lowers the spring hanger in the front down an inch, therefore moving the rear up an inch, only thing is it decreases ground clearance.

 

Hmm might look into that as well, do you have any links to it? Also i think the front fiberglass provides the illusion its higher due to the wheel well gap
