    Hey all,
I see that some of you have newer 2012/2013 taco's. ( dont mean to hi-jack thread) but here goes, sorry OP.

Need some info if anyone can help I would appreciate it. I am getting ready to buy a 2013 Tacoma, DB, LB, 4x4, TRD Sport, The option package that I chose makes the price at $34200.00. Does anyone know what toyota really gets the truck for or what would be a great OTD price. I was thinking around 31 OTD. Any input.

    Thanks

again sorry OP just I saw newer trucks and thought I could get a faster responce.

There is a "what did you pay for your 2013" thread. Read through it. look for location compared to where you are, and what others got. Then use that as ammo + your gut.

If i get billies set to 1.75" and a rear aal set to 1.5" will my truck sit level? No other suspension modifications here.

You will still be a tad higher in the rear imo. Mine is 1.75 with rear tsb and looks just a touch nose high at times and seems level others. The tsb gave me close to 3/4" in the rear. I think 1" would be perfect imo.

I've actually wanted to find or fab something to shim the rear just a bit to raise it a touch more. If someone made a 1/2" block I'd try that but haven't seen anything less than 1" which would be too much I think.

so, i am new to all of this, lifts and suspension i mean, please bare with me, i have a '12, and would like to give it a little more ground clearance, i live in a place where our "roads" are similar to no roads, anyway, i have been looking around and have a few questions about the bilstein 5100's, one, how do they alter the ride of the truck, and if the fronts are set at 1.75 it just levels the front? and what would i do lift the vehicle about 1-2 inches all the way around, and how does this alter the ride, thank you

afe pro dry, weather tech floor liners,5100's on all four corners@ 0, eibach 620 coils. toytec 3/4" spacer driver/s & passenger/s, rear spring tsb w/toytec 1" blocks, 4runner sport wheels, in channel vent visors, 1.25 spidertrax wheel spacers on the front, Wet Okole's, smity tow hook.
If you set them @1.75 your be close to level and the ride will be firmer(IMO better). I ran this setup for almost a year with no complaints.

For more rake you can add 1"-1.5" blocks for extra lift. Im running toytec 1" blocks on my rear (no complaints). Consensus on the forum is adding a progressive aal will provide lift and improved handling (ill eventually go this route or full leaf pack).

I just put a 2" spacer/block kit all around with AAL included. My rear stock suspension max's out. I am thinking about purchasing 5100's. Anyone have personal experiences, suggestions or recommendations? I don't necessarily need to go with 5100's, so bring em on.

does anyone have a pic of an access cab with 5100's set at 2.5 with eibach coils and 2" AAL? or does anyone know if it sits level?
what are the cons of having it set at 2.5? i mainly drive on pavement and its mostly for looks, but i refuse to use spacers.
heres the set up i was thinking, 5100's all around, eibach coils, 2" AAL and 1.25" wheel spacers.
    ooh and 285/75/16 BFG KM2

The highest you should set your 5100's@ is .85 with eibach's. there are a few guy on here that have them set at 1.75, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Does anyone have pictures of the cv boots with the shocks set at 1.75? Are the fins touching on the inner boot closest to the diff?

I don't have any pic, but before I added Eibach's I had my 5100's set at 1.75. the fins were not touching.

    Opinions please,

I read through alot of stuff on here so I have come up with a question or two.
This is what I have. 2013 4X4 Double cab, long bed came with the TSB leafs already or 3 springs with a 4th smaller one.
This what I wanted to do but just a little confused. 5100 all around from what I read, Set at .85 gives you a little rake. Set 1.75 the front it sits almost level. This is with using the stock coils.
I read on here that your not suppose to use after market coils (884,885,886 etc etc) with the 5100's (I know that alot do). Why would people say not to use aftermarket coils with the 5100's.

Secondly some say that you dont need UCA's some say you should when setting the 5100's at 1.75.
I am leaning towards getting new UCA's. I have no experience with this stuff (UCA's). So I am looking to find out what is considered a good fit for 5100's with stock coils set at 1.75. LR, ICON, total chaos etc etc.

Any opinions, experiences input please. I am not a rock climber. I just go to the snow or explore a fireroad nothing to serious.

    Thanks
